National Steps Challenge™

New to National Steps Challenge™? Here’s everything you need to know about the programme.


In line with MOH’s advisory on 14 May 2021 on the shift to heightened alert to minimise transmission, all HPB’s on-ground events and activities will be suspended from 16 May 2021 until further notice.

Programmes that have been suspended may resume when the appropriate activity and safe management measures can be put in place and enforced. Participants may refer to HealthHub or Healthy 365 mobile app for updates from 23 May 2021. Thank you for your understanding.

National Steps ChallengeTM is back with Season 5: Bonus Round for everyone!

Does binge watching your favorite drama feel good? Imagine a feeling even better than that. That’s how good it feels to start moving again with the National Steps ChallengeTM.
  • With immediate effect, all participants who wish to visit our Customer Care Centres and designated locations for National Steps Challenge™ services (including HPB fitness tracker exchanges and troubleshooting support) are required to make an appointment. Click here to learn how.
  • All HPB-issued faulty fitness tracker from Seasons 1 – 5, including those with broken straps can be exchanged from 14 May 2021 onwards. Find out more here.

The National Steps ChallengeTM Season 5: Bonus Round brings you rewards whether you’re new to the National Steps ChallengeTM, a returning participant, or even a completer! Simply sign up, clock steps and Moderate to Vigorous Physical Activity (MVPA) minutes daily, and earn up to $20 worth of eVouchers!

Registration period: 24 Mar – 31 May
Challenge period: 29 Mar – 18 Jul

Anyone who meets the following criteria:
a) Singaporeans and PRs with a valid NRIC, or foreigners with a valid FIN
b) Aged 17 years or older (based on birth year) at point of registration

P.S: Participants who have completed all 6 tiers of steps and/or MVPA category in past seasons of National Steps ChallengeTM are eligible to join in this challenge too!

• There will not be any new HPB fitness tracker distribution in this Bonus Round.

• As this is a one-off bonus challenge with only 2 reward tiers in the Steps and MVPA category respectively, any progress made on uncompleted reward tiers will not be carried forward to Season 6.

• Healthpoints will only be credited upon tier completion.

• Participants need to complete a health declaration (Get Active Questionnaire (GAQ)) on the Healthy 365 app in order to participate in the MVPA category.

How to earn Healthpoints?

Earn Healthpoints simply by clocking steps & MVPA minutes daily! The more you move, the more you earn.

Start clocking 10,000 steps and 150 minutes of MVPA with your fitness tracker.
Step 2

Use your friend/family’s smartphone to update your fitness records on the Healthy 365 app. Here’s how:

  1. Log out of your friend/family’s account by going to the ‘Profile’ tab and tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right corner

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap on ‘Log out’.

  3. Next, restore your profile.

  4. Do note that a 4-digit One-Time-Pin (OTP) will be sent via SMS to the mobile number indicated in the user’s account with every new log in.
