Managing Side-Effects
Knowing about the possible side-effects of your medication can prepare you to better handle them.
Read your medication label
Common side-effects of your medication are printed on the label. For example, Chlorpheniramine may cause drowsiness. If you are affected, do not drive, or operate heavy machinery.
Check HealthHub Medications A-Z
Search for your medication on the HealthHub Medications A-Z site to learn more about how to manage its common side-effects. Look under the “Common side effects” section.
Speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you cannot cope with the side-effects of your medication.
This is especially if your symptoms do not go away or are getting worse, or if they are bothering with your daily activities.
Medication Allergies
You could be having an allergic reaction to your medication
if you have any of these symptoms.
Stop your medication and see a doctor immediately!
Swollen face/eyes/lips/tongue
Difficulty in breathing
Itchy skin rashes over your whole body
