What's Happening to Your Baby?

Is your baby talking to you or making sounds like "ooh" and "ahh"? Keep up the singing and talking to bond with your baby, who may cry while settling into a routine of eating and sleeping. Baby is now busy exploring the surroundings, like the mobile above the crib. Your little sweetheart still hasn't managed temperature control so make sure you wrap baby snugly when you do go out.

What's Happening to You?

Are you sleep deprived? Most new parents feel like walking zombies so try to sleep when your baby sleeps, and ask your partner to help out at night. You can express breast milk into bottles and ask your partner to take care of the night-time feeds to allow you a bit of shuteye. Speak to a close family member who can help ease the load by taking care of household chores or babysitting older children. If you're breastfeeding, be sure to have a nutritious diet — including a balanced mix of dairy, carbohydrates, protein, fruits and vegetables.
