What's Happening to Your Baby?

Your little one is now between 900g and 1.1kg — that's as heavy as a small bag of rice. Baby is the size of a large cauliflower, at an average length of around 34 to 41cm and is continuing to put on fat in preparation for life on the outside. Your baby will also start to practise blinking at this stage! In just 12 weeks, you'll be meeting your gorgeous baby face to face.

What's Happening to You?

You're on the final stretch as you enter your third trimester this week. You'll see your doctor every two weeks from this point. You might experience symptoms like heartburn, constipation and tiredness. Rest, a warm bath or a short walk around the neighbourhood might help ease your discomfort. If you're experiencing sciatica, a shooting pain from your lower back to your legs, try a heating pad or ask your partner to give you a much needed back rub.
