What's Happening to Your Baby?

Your baby measures about 3 to 4 cm long now, about the size of a fig. Your darling has fingers and toes, and some bones are starting to harden. Your little one's busy kicking and stretching, although it's too early for you to feel this. Believe it or not, your baby even has little nipples and hair follicles. The ears are more developed and the nasal passage is open through two tiny holes on the tip of your baby's tiny nose.

What's Happening to You?

It's time to begin preparing for your week 12 pregnancy scan and check-up. Start thinking about all the questions you've been pondering since you found out your pregnancy news, no matter how trivial they may seem to you. Take along any medical history for discussion. There are a number of genetic tests that can be performed around this time. Your doctor will give you more information about these tests and will advise you accordingly after going through your medical history.
