To start a lifelong habit of healthy eating, the Healthy Meals in Schools Programme introduces school children to tasty and healthy meals in schools. School canteen operators are trained on the guidelines based on optimum nutrition for children so they can prepare meals that are good for your children. To sustain this healthy habit, here's how you can prepare healthy home cooked meals.
1. Look out for snacks/drinks with the Healthier Choice Symbol
2. Include at least 20% wholegrain in meals
3. Include more fruits and vegetables to obtain 2 servings of fruits and 2 servings of vegetables a day
