Outpatient Costs for Chronic Disease (How to Reduce Cost)

Managing a chronic disease and the costs involved has been made easier with the introduction of a programme that allows the use of MediSave for chronic diseases.

The treatment for chronic diseases is costly when administered collectively over a long period of time.

As part of the national effort to improve the management of chronic diseases, the Ministry of Health has introduced the use of MediSave for Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP). The aim of CDMP is to improve the level of care and reduce the out-of-pocket healthcare cost for people with chronic diseases when they seek medical treatment in an outpatient setting.
