Start2Move is a free 6-session physical activity starter programme that is open to everyone aged 18 and above. Whether you're looking to kickstart an active lifestyle, reintroduce fitness into your routine, or build a stronger fitness foundation, you'll find that Start2Move is useful for you!

6-Session Programme Outline

Here’s a rundown of what you’ll be doing in your class each week. Each session is one hour.

Week 1 - Introduction and Pre-Programme Fitness Assessment
  • Get a taster of the exercises to come in Sessions 2-5

  • Assess your pre-programme fitness assessment

  • Set goals for your fitness journey

Week 2 - Strength, Balance and Flexibility 101s
  • Learn about strength, balance and flexibility fitness components

  • Try out strength, balance and flexibility exercises while being guided by an instructor in a “workshop style” session

Week 3 - Aerobic, Balance and Flexibility 101s
  • Learn about aerobic, balance and flexibility fitness components

  • Try out aerobic, balance and flexibility exercises while being guided by an instructor in a “workshop style” session

Week 4 - Aerobic Workout Class
  • Participate in an experiential group aerobic workout class

Week 5 - Strength, Balance and Flexibility
  • Work on your strength, balance and flexibility in an experiential group workout class

Week 6 - Graduation and Post-Programme Fitness Assessment
  • Assess your post-programme fitness level

  • Review your goals and set post-programme goals

  • Receive tips to build your post-programme workout routine
