WHAT YOU NEED

Chicken, minced
200 g

Chye Sim, cut into bite-sized pieces
3 stalks

Small tomato, cut into cubes
1

Chicken stock *
2 litres

Button mushrooms, cut into cubes

Pepper
A dash

Baby corn, cut into cubes

Sesame oil *
¼ tsp


Marinade

Light soy sauce *
1 tsp

Corn flour
1 tbsp

Pepper
A dash

 


Glutinous rice shapes

Glutinous rice flour
300 g

Water
2 cups

Mix flour with water and knead it into soft dough. Shape the dough into small shapes/balls

HOW TO COOK THIS DISH

  1. Mix minced chicken with marinade and shape into shapes/balls. Keep aside.

  2. Boil chicken stock in pot.

  3. Add minced chicken balls, button mushrooms, baby corn, Chye Sim, tomatoes and glutinous rice shapes/balls. Bring to a boil.

  4. Remove from heat once rice shapes and chicken balls float to the surface.

  5. Season with pepper and sesame oil. Serve hot.
