MediSave is a national medical savings scheme which helps individuals put aside part of their income into a savings account to meet their future personal or immediate family’s healthcare expenses.
Every working Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident contributes 8 to 10.5 percent (depending on age group) of his or her monthly salary to their MediSave account. The MediSave balances may be withdrawn to pay for the healthcare bills of the account holder and his immediate family members.

MediSave withdrawal limits have been set to ensure that Singaporeans have sufficient savings in their MediSave Account to meet their current and future basic healthcare needs. The withdrawal limits are generally adequate to cover most of the charges incurred at subsidised inpatient wards and outpatient treatments.

The Medical Claims Authorisation Forms (MCAF) is used to authorise withdrawals from your MediSave account and claims from MediShield Life or your Integrated Shield Plan (IP) for your medical expenses.
