Health Promoting Malls

The Singaporean shopping mall is more than a place selling basic necessities and food or simply a venue for meeting and leisure. It's also a place we can get healthy - together!

Under the Health Promoting Mall programme, HPB is working with mall operators to organise a range of activities and provide healtheir options to make healthy living easy and accessible to all Singaporeans. Visit a Health Promoting Mall near you today and get in on the action!

What is a Health Promoting Mall?

A Health Promoting Mall provides a range of opportunities, in the form of events, facilities, products and/or for its shoppers, employees, tenants and local community to improve their health and wellbeing. For instance, you may get your weekly dose of exercise from a physical activity event hosted by the mall and healthier dining options at the food courts or restaurants. If you are helping a loved one quit smoking, the mall's pharmacy may have the appropriate resources to assist.

For Shoppers

HPB organises a variety of activities in Health Promoting Malls, such as Mall Workouts (e.g. KpopX Fitness, Kickboxing etc). In the comfort of the mall, you do not have to worry about factors such as bad weather, heat or humidity which deter some people from exercising. You can exercise with peace of mind in a safe environment free of motorised traffic.

These activities are usually held on weekday evenings or during the weekends, so come down and join us for some fun exercise to tone up your body and get your heart pumping. There are many Health Promoting Malls offering various activtiies and time slots, thus you will definitely be able to find something suitable for you. Best of all, it is FREE!

Here is a map showing the current health promoting malls along with their various health promoting features such as physical activity workouts, healthier dining options, healthier choice products, and pharmacies which offer help to smokers who want to quit smoking.
