What You Need

Tau Kwa

Seasoning:

Sweet peas

150 g

Vegetarian oyster sauce *

2 tbsp

Fresh mushrooms, cut into slices

3 pieces

Chinese cooking wine (optional)

Carrot, cut into slices

100 g

Dark soy sauce *

1 tsp

Garlic, minced

1 tbsp

Sugar

Oil *

1 tbsp

Pepper

A dash

Corn flour
1 tbsp

Water or vegetable stock *

3 tbsp

Tau Kwa marinade

Light soy sauce *

2 tbsp

Five spice powder

1 tsp

Dark soy sauce *

1 tbsp

Water

1 cup

How To Cook This Dish

  1. Mix Tau Kwa marinade together in a pot. Add Tau Kwa to boil on low heat till golden brown on both sides.

  2. Cut braised Tau Kwa into slices, and keep aside.

  3. Heat oil in wok and stir-fry garlic until fragrant.

  4. Add sweet peas, sliced mushrooms and carrots. Stir-fry until soft.

  5. Add seasoning and sliced braised Tau Kwa. Mix well. The dish is ready to serve when the sauce thickens.
