Cancer Patient Support Groups

The National Cancer Institute of Singapore (NCIS) has a number of cancer patient support groups you can join.

Finding Support
Being diagnosed with cancer is a life-changing event. From the moment of the diagnosis to going through treatment, and even maybe realising that the cancer has returned, patients feel shocked, upset, angry, alone and a myriad of other emotions. These feelings can be difficult to deal with, especially when there are so many questions needing answers.

At the National Cancer Institute of Singapore (NCIS), there are a number of cancer patient support groups to join. These platforms provide a place for people to share common concerns and emotional support. This cancer support community gives patients an opportunity to connect and interact with other cancer survivors or patients who share similar experiences. The support groups are facilitated by oncology specialists, and patients are encouraged to share their experiences through regular activities and meetings.

There are currently seven support groups for cancer patients where they can find empathy in sharing sessions, interactive group activities, as well as educational talks.

Breast Support Group
