Levocetirizine is used for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis e.g. sneezing, runny nose, itching of the nose and/or eyes. It is also used for the relief of symptoms associated with chronic skin rashes or hives. It is an antihistamine and works by stopping the effects of histamine, a chemical that causes the allergy symptoms.

0.5mg/mL Oral Solution: 10 mL to be taken once daily as required
Do not use for longer than 10 days without medical advice.
Levocetirizine may be taken with or without food.
For the oral solution, shake the bottle well before use.
Patients with impaired kidney function may be given a lower dose according to the severity of their kidney disease. Your doctor or pharmacist will determine the dose for you.

This medication should be avoided if you have a known history of allergy to levocetirizine, cetirizine or any of the other listed ingredients in the product.
Please seek your doctor's or pharmacist's advice before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Be sure to inform your doctor and/or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or plan to take other medications, nutritional supplements or herbal products. Avoid taking with alcohol.
Common side effects: tiredness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth.
Less common side effect: abdominal pain.
Rare side effects: fast or irregular heartbeat.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
Inform your doctor and/or pharmacist immediately if you experience any allergic symptoms (e.g. rashes, itchiness, difficulty in breathing or eye swelling) or serious side effects due to this medication.
Consult a doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 10 days of use, or if the condition worsens.
