Tibolone Tablet

This medication is for the treatment of oestrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women, more than one year after menopause or for the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk of future fractures.

This medication is for the treatment of oestrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women, more than one year after menopause or for the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk of future fractures.

Dosage and How to Us​​e

Take it with or without food, preferably at the same time every day.​

Missed a Dose​​   

A missed dose should be taken as soon as remembered, unless it is more than 12 hours overdue. In this case, the missed dose should be skipped and the next dose should be taken at the normal time. Missing a dose may increase the likelihood of menstrual bleeding or spotting. If you have missed several doses, please contact your doctor or pharmacist to check what you should do.

Side Effects, Precautions, Contraindication​​

What possible side effects may it cause?​​​

Common side effects include abdominal pain, bloating, weight gain, vaginal bleeding or spotting or discharge or itchiness, vaginitis, breast pain and abnormal amount of hair growth over the body. 

Rare but serious side effects include malignancies and the chance of harmful blood clots in the vein or artery such as heart attack, stroke and blood clots in the leg, foot or lung. The chance may increase if you have other medical conditions that may increase the risk. Please seek medical attention if you think you have symptoms of blood clot or suspect malignancies.

What precautions should I take?​​​

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.

Store at room temperature below 25 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.

Keep this medication out of reach of children.
