What is this medication used for

This combination of desloratadine and pseudoephedrine is used for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis including nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itching of the nose and/or eyes. Desloratadine belongs to a group of medications called antihistamines. It works by stopping the effects of histamine, a chemical that causes the allergy symptoms. Pseudoephedrine is a nasal decongestant that shrinks swollen nasal tissues and opens up nasal passages. It should be administered when both the antihistamine effect of desloratadine and the decongestant effect of pseudoephedrine are required.
